COMPUTER POLICIES

Complete Computer/Internet policies available at the Information Desk.

Patrons are limited to one hour per day, unless no other patrons are waiting. (This is decided by the Library staff not any patron.)
Adult patrons with a valid Piqua Public Library Borrower's Card may use our designated patron computers by signing in at an available computer. All computers are capable of black & white or color printouts.  There is a $.25 charge for each page printed in black and white; $1.00 charge for each page printed in color.  Microsoft Office(R), and Internet access are available.  Out-of-State visitors may use the computers without an PPL card.
Patrons between the ages of ten(10) and eighteen(18), with a valid PPL Borrower's Card, may use our computers, but cannot access the Internet without their parent's permission (signified by their signature kept on file with child's registration). The Library does not permit those under fourteen(14) to access e-mail, chat rooms, or websites with passwords.
Patrons between the ages of five(5) and ten (10), with a valid PPL Borrower's Card, may use any age/ability software in the Library except accessing the Internet. Parental supervision is at the discretion of the Library staff.
Patrons age fourteen (14) and under must use Children's Department computers unless Children's staff member approves the use of computers in the Adult Department.

MISUSE OF THE LIBRARY'S COMPUTERS WILL RESULT IN LOSS OF INTERNET AND/OR COMPUTER PRIVILEGES.
