Rating Book produced by and property of The Piqua Business Men's Association, Piqua, Ohio.  This is book #85 issued 17 October 1912.  The book lists in alphabetical order the names of approximately 7000 persons who have been granted credit by Piqua businessmen.  The businessmen have reported their experiences with these people to the association.  The association compiled and organized these reported experiences in eight rating categories and published them in this book along with the number of businesses filing reports on each individual.  This book became an early means of businessmen doing a credit check on potential customers before granting credit.
