When the customer made a purchase he was given a sufficient number and denominations of receipts to reflect the amount of sales tax that was included in the price of the item. The land is described as the northwest quarter of Section Twenty-three of Township Two, Range Eleven between the Miami Rivers. The patent is dated 11 June 1816. The land today is located on the south side of Brown Township, Miami County, Ohio. The patent is framed under glass in a 15” x 10” frame. |

On the back of the 8” x 10” is a description of the sign on the front of the building and the Carousel on the top of the sign. The Carousel is 70 inches tall and 72” in diameter – the horses are 9” high x 12” long. The “Toys and Hobbies” part of the sign below the carousel is 133” hiogh and 36” wide. The total height of the sign with carousel is 16 feet 11 inches. |

Orr-Statler Hotel – Proposed restoration plans to include a Hotel of 70 rooms with retail spaces and a finished basement with room for a kitchen, museum, offices and Rathskeller. The proposal also included connecting to upper floors of adjoining buildings to the north for a conference center. No dates on the drawings, but probably late 1970s to early 1980s.
