Blue Jacket –Jonathan Gore Diary: A Compilation, 1867-1887, by John W. Kincaid  – This is a copy of the Kincaid document.  Johathan Gore married Sarah (Sallie) Bluejacket, the daughter of Rev. Charles Bluejacket, the grandson of George Bluejacket who was the son of the great Shawnee Chief Blue Jacket.  The diary covers the trek from Oklahoma to Shawnee, Kansas and the family’s sojourn in Kansas.  In 1869 Jonathan Gore was adopted into the Shawnee Tribe as a full member.  At the end of the diary is an appendix which contains copies of handwritten sheets from Jonathan Gore’s original diary.  Also included is a bibliography and an index

October 1948 and was a resident of the hospital for 9 months before his death on June 25, 1949.  Fred was born in Springfield, Clark County, Ohio.  Included in the folder is a copy for the marriage record of his parents, Warren Edgar Brewer and Bessie Louise Tope and a copy of Fred Nelson Brewer’s California Death Certificate.

Brown, Nelson – results of a court action filed in Miami County Common Pleas Court for the division of the real estate held by the estate of John Brown deceased.  In the case Nelson and William Brown sued Mary Brown (widow of John) and the other heirs of John Brown to settle the estate and divide the propertylocated in Piqua.  The other heirs were Elizabeth and James Know, Martha J. Brown, Sarah Ann Brown, Jno. M. Brown, James H. Brown, Mary T. Brown, Henry C. Brown and Miles Knox Brown.  This document is a Sheriff’s Deed for that part of the property awarded to Nelson and William A. Brown by the court.  The document was filed with the Miami County Recorders Office on January 5, 1850.

Butts, Patsy Ruth - "To Whom It May Concern" - a single page letter written 8 March 1948 and dropped behind a kitchen cabinet during a time in which the family kitchen was being remodeled.  In the letter written by Patsy (age 15) the family is listed:  Jack Edward Butts (age 17 - brother), John "Edvert" Butts (father), and Alberta B. Butts (mother).  Included in this folder are Piquonian (Piqua High School Yearbook) photographs, a brief biography of the individuals mentioned, a copy of the obituaries of John, Alberta, and Jack Butts, and a copy of the 1930 census showing John and Alberta Butts.
