Join us in the Library Lobby as Brukner Nature Center presents "Creatures from Earth". During this wildlife encounter, you'll get to meet Brukner Wildlife Ambassadors up-close and personal.
All ages welcome. No registration needed.
Join the "Kindness Rocks" movement by joining Kristi and painting some rocks for the Library's Kindness Rock Garden as well as taking one home to start your own Garden. Pre-register and bring your own rock, if you like. Supplies provided.
We have a Summer Reading Club for you! No matter your age. Join us as we explore space, the moon, aliens and galaxies.
Pre-schoolers, babies and toddlers can join the Family Reading Club in the Children's Dept.
School-age children who have completed Kindergarten through 5th Grade can join the School-age Summer Reading Club in the Children's Dept.
Youth who have completed 6th Grade through age 18 have a Teen Club that's meets every Tuesday and Thursday from 2:00-4:00 pm. Sign up at the 2nd floor Information Desk.
Do you (or someone you know) owe overdue fines to the Library? If so, come in and request to have your fines forgiven at either the Children's or Adult Circulation Desks. Fine Forgiveness begins at 10:00 am on Monday, May 20 and continues each day, during normal library hours, until 5:30 pm on Saturday, May 25. Library will forgive up to $50.00 per patron account. Only overdue fines are eligible, not money owed for lost or damaged items.
You must owe overdue fines. We will not credit your account or give credit for copies, faxes, etc.
This family-friendly arts event features local restaurants, live entertainment, and children's activities. Look for the Library's Children's Department at the Spin Art booth on Main Street. Stop in the Library between 6:00 and 8:30 pm to see the Ohio Watercolor Society's traveling exhibit in the second floor gallery.
The Library is not open for normal services, only gallery viewing.
Meet and greet with adoptable* cats and dogs from Miami County at the Piqua Public Library. From 11am to 12:30pm, you can also visit animals from the Shelby County Animal Shelter.
Dr. Ken from Tipp City Veterinary Hospital will present a special Pet Chat at 1:30pm on bringing home a new pet.
*This is not an adoption event. Meet adoptable animals and learn about the local animal shelters.
